DDD, Life in Korea explores
cross-cultural life as it is lived here. Not modern
or trad culture but both, and not your culture or their
culture but our culture. It is intended both for foreigners
and Koreans.. It is honest and edgy and often funny
as it is the first of its kind that is intended for
both foreigners and Koreans: it offers bi-lingual writing
and cross-cultural material as much as it can.

You see when East meets West nothing
is as simple as it seems. DDD is Korean slang for "Difficult,
Dirty, Dangerous" to some and to others it is about
"Design, Digital, DNA". Any of these 'D's'
or their combination represent reality as it is emerging
in dynamic Korea. And so our magazine/webzine wants
to suggest in the boldest ways possible how life in
Korea, as it can be anywhere, is beautiful, hilarious,
challenging and worth the effort. We hope you enjoy
ours.

To suggest what our readers and contributors are like,
picture yourself kicking off your shoes than walking
into a quiet Buddhist temple and sitting, or, coming
up from the subway in Seoul unto a crowded street under
the skyline, then consider a few lines from American
writer Jack Kerouac,
